I mean, I think Mirabel is supposed to be a teen, but it probably helps that she certainly doesn't look like it?

She doesn't? I don't ship them, but to me Bruno (and his sisters) are the ones who don't look their age (early 50s iirc) where I'd guess 40s; Mirabel is supposed to be 15.

But then, part of the reason I'd guess 40s is Antonio is 5 and so I guess Pepa had him in her mid-late 40s? Which seems way late. Obviously possible, and I guess Julieta could just heal any complications from a late pregnancy.

(Putting too much thought into silly stuff is what fandom is for sometimes, right?)

AYRT I am absolutely shit at guessing ages IRL too lol. I would have pegged Mirabel for like... early twenties if someone hadn't mentioned she was a teen tbh.

Same, but that's probably because of Disney's standard female character models. Mirabel looks closer to the "mom" or "aunt" character template more than the "teenage girl main character."

Thank you for putting it into words for me. I think you’re absolutely right and it’s taken me quite a while to realize why I was reading her as older than 15 when she doesn’t necessarily look older in terms of actual IRL human age markers.

The triplets are 50 as the movie says the magic camw 50 years ago and they were infants. Mirabel is 15.

I mean, one of the taboos of incest is usually consent (age) or familiarity/power dynamics.

From what I understood watching the movie, Mirabel never even met Bruno so honestly, age difference aside (and since it's het the concern over mutant babies), there's not really any power dynamics to be concerned about?
