If I'm in the mood for something especially...rude and messy, then yes, and only if it's that particular fluid. Anything else and I hope they find a doctor ASAP/turned off SO quick.

Hm. On the one hand, I don’t generally want characters’ genitals to be described in too much visual detail. I don’t need to know how crinkly an asshole is, or the nuances of its exact shade, or whether there’s a “light dusting” of hair around it, or whatever.

But on the other hand, I very much do want descriptions of genitals that speak directly to the character’s state of arousal.

“Slick” is good, as long as lube is involved (or it’s an ABO fic), and it’s not just the author deciding to make the character’s butt self-lubing out of nowhere, with no explanation. “Leaking” to describe precome is hot too, IMO. The word “oozing” is tricky, because it’s so easily associated with gross things like infection. However, with deft handling it can be hot, IMO. I don't even mind "weeping" really, except that it’s so overused at this point that it’s become a joke and therefore it always takes me out of the story. If the character has already been fucked, then words describing their asshole looking used are hot too, IMO.

And then, of course, there’s words describing sensation, e.g. throbbing, pulsing, aching, spasming, quivering, contracting, clenching, etc.. For me, sensation descriptors are basically necessary. It’s hard to make a smut scene truly hot without them, IMO.

So I think I disagree with this secret more than I agree with it. But also, badly written smut will make all of these words stand out like cringey beacons. I just don't think the problem is the words themselves, most of the time; it's that a certain level of skill is required to carry them off.

I agree with both you and OP. It can be good and hot if it’s well-written, and bad if it’s...well badly written.

I don’t like ABO, and I avoid those fics. So the only time I see a butthole described as “slick” is if lube has been added, and that’s sexy. Or if the fic writer knows nothing about men’s bodies enough to actually think the butthole is self-lubing, which is dumb and cringed. Or if they’re trying to sneak in ABO tropes without properly warning for it, and never bringing up any other tropes previously that might clue me in to what they’re trying to do, which I’m obviously not a fan of.

I also hate gaping, so I stay away from that too, and most people are nice enough to warn for that. So having a butthole be described as “gaping” is also obviously a turn-off for me. But “used”? I really like that!

Although I'll sometimes appreciate a decently "real" depiction..i highly doubt everyone is walking around with a ~pink rosebud~ the fuck.
