Meanwhile, every Ackles/SPN fan I know is hype BECAUSE they know what The Boys is like-- many of them were already watching it anyway.

I think it's funny when people devote mental energy to the idea that SPN fangirls will be shocked or dismayed, when A) My Bloody Valentine exists, and B) I've seen SPN fanfic far worse than anything on The Boys.

Granted, I don't hang with the younger side of the fandom-- those of us who were in high school when SPN started are... you know, adults. Adults see all kinds of graphic content.

Jensen Ackles fangirl here who had started watching the Boys when it came out at the behest of a guy I was seeing -- gratuitous sex and violence of the first few eps of S1 aside, I've really come to enjoy this show and I CANNOT WAIT for S3 (and that was BEFORE Jensen was announced). So it's like two gifts instead of 1!

My heart's gonna break if I catch him having sex though :( lol but I also get grown long haired Jensen, so my complaints will be 0.

Also, agreed with everything up there. SPN came out when I was in middle school, and I was about 15 during S4, so...yeah lol. Plus Dean at his carnage stage/when he'd get all bloodied was hot, so this ain't gonna change a thing lol.
