As a kid, I remember reading the "About the Author" blurbs at the back of my favorite books, and seeing several career paths and life events listed, which always solidified for me that there was no timeline on becoming an author. It made publishing not feel so urgent to me, because hell, if I published right out of college, there would have been nothing fun in my blurb!
