Re: Sleep schedule

My ideal was definitely when I was working nights. Going to bed around noon, getting up around 7-8pm to go to work at 10-11. Healthier and happier than I'd ever been in my life, even the chronic stuff mostly faded into the background for awhile.

Buuuut now I have a job that is basically bankers hours, but fortunately it's "flexible" and because of my health issues I work from home, so basically I wake up anywhere from 6:30am to 9am and just log right into work. Generally go to bed between 11pm-2am. (Later to bed does not necessarily correspond with later to rise. :/)

Thing is I can't fall asleep for an hour or two after turning the lights out and closing my eyes, and I wake up after about an hour every time, and it takes me at least half an hour to get back to sleep if I can at all. Which is why if I wake up at 6:30am I just log into work early. I know I'm not going to be able to get back to sleep and get a significant amount more sleep.

And that was before I started giving the bun in my room treats in the morning (he needed to put on weight, and he still needs to maintain). Now I have a bunny alarm. If I'm not up by 8:30ish he starts throwing his jingle ball around or chewing on the metal lamp base to make noise and wake me up. (On days off I just pick him up, put him in bed with me and snuggle him under the covers instead while I doze off. :P)
