Re: Who is your favorite film director and how many movies of theirs have you seen?

I’ve only seen maybe 8 or 9 of his films, but I love Cronenberg’s particular brand of creepy menace. He’s got such a great aesthetic sense of the grotesque paired with emotional tension. It’s uncomfortable in a way I really enjoy.

In contrast, I can’t deal at all with David Lynch’s brand of creepy menace. I just can’t stand it.
