Doesn't really matter anyway since Ukraine is going to win. I mean, I don't mind considering it's generally rare that good songs win over politics and spectacle (the latter is why most people watch it, honesyly) but yeah, pretty much irrelevant whether the songs are good or not.


(Also, speaking from a country that has been getting deserved low points for years, I really wish they'd finally axe the rule that the founder countries get through no matter what. Would spare us some humiliation.)

Man, I loved Germany's song last year... I think it was just me and three other people, though. It just seemed that the guy singing was having a genuinely good time.

my friends had the same reaction and even though i wasn't a fan, i still thought it was decent fun. i was surprised that it didn't get any points at all

When will Germany send in Rammstein? Or Scooter. Finland sent in a 1990s throwback this year, so why the hell not

When Eurovision will suddenly became something that gives extra points to groups that are actually selling out their venues, even outside their home countries? So probably never. Or when Rammstein/Scooter's careers deflate enough...?

(It's Eurovision - the vast majority of countries (if not all) are definitely not sending their best artists)

It makes perfect sense, so maybe start considering you’re the problem. Not every comment you don’t understand is dumb. Have some self-awareness.

And btw, this is coming from someone who disagrees with ayrt, and the other anon, that England’s acts have been bad. I quite enjoy them. And I have no stake in Eurovision, same as the rest of America, but I still don’t think England deserves to be disparaged for their performances. But I still understand the comment.

At least THIS TIME if Ukraine does win it will be deserved since their song is amazing.
The last edition they won (2016?) it was... eh... it was certainly a good song, but not the winner in that edition IMHO.
Still not as bad as Israel winning with Netta's Toy, but it was pretty egregious.

I don't think Ukraine is going to win, even the most sympathetic voters have to understand that there is no way for Ukraine to host the contest now, so then what's the point, just to show we care?

Also, Germany should send songs in German at last. In fact, I am very much in favour of bringing back the rule of singing in the national languages only.

Ukraine can do whatever it wants, but there's also no rule that the winning country /has/ to host the show. It can be hosted elsewhere/by sb else.
