I enjoyed the first two movies, and am planning to see this one. The trailer looked fun to me, and I'm not expecting perfection.

There were hundreds of people involved in making this movie, not just JKR and Ezra Miller.

ayrt

The buzz that I've been hearing is that this movie is the best of the three, and a lot of the negativity I've seen regarding it has nothing to do with the movie itself. I don't like JKR's politics, but like I said, she's not the only person involved in making this movie. So I'm going to give it a chance, rather than letting the Internet decide what I should do with my money.

I’ve heard the opposite. That’s it’s a mediocre at best total mess, that is at least better than the second. But that isn’t saying much, because the second one was trash. I’ve heard this kind of sentiment from a bunch of people, film critics and regular moviegoers alike. And very few of them even mentioned JKR, or anything that doesn’t involve the movie itself on it’s own merits(or possible lack there of). Could some of these people’s opinions he influenced by the JKR controversy, even though they don’t reference it at all? Sure. But I really don’t think all of them are.

As far as I’ve heard, the first one is the only good/decent one. This is all my anecdotal experience, of course. But honestly, so would be hearing buzz about this one being the best of the three.

So while I’ve heard different things than you, I’m going to echo your last point. People shouldn’t be influenced one way or the other by the internet. They shouldn’t see it only because some said it was the best one, and they shouldn’t avoid it if they heard some say it was the second worst. Or be influenced by the behind the scenes stuff. They should make the decision to see it or not on their own. Reviews shouldn’t be the be all end all, just a way to see other people’s thoughts.

I won’t be watching it, because I hated the first and avoided the second, and I have no desire to give JKR any money. But more people than her made this movie. So if someone else wants to see it, I don’t begrudge them for it, and I have no problem with the other people who made the movie getting their money.
