Absolutely this.

It was pretty clear that this is where her story would eventually lead, but my god the show writers botched it. Instead of a build-up of at least a season they did it in 1 episode and I honestly ended up finding it hilarious because her character switch was so sudden an abrupt it shunted me right out of the story. I'm mad about it because I think she could have been a great villain and IT WAS RUINED. Humphf.

Yeah, it probably would have been good if it had actually been written out by GRRM but obviously that's never going to happen now.
