I want to read/watch/play some short stuff that will make me cry. Sometimes you just need one!

Things that made me cry recently:

Book -The Children's Blizzard by David Laskin. It's about this blizzard in 1888 that came out of no where and hurt a bunch of kids and it made me cry my eyes out.

Movie - Everything Everywhere All At Once. If you have kids, if you have parents, if you have a partner, if you have ever felt overwhelmed or like a failure or mean or nihilistic this movie will find a way to worm into your tear ducts. And your heart. Also this movie is just really good.

Song - "The War Was In Color" - I think I associate this with the death of my grandparents but I'm tearing up just thinking about it. "Bones In The Ocean" by the Longest Johns has a similar reaction for the only other person I've asked.

The War Was In Color is such a great song. Discovered it through a fanvid.

I am seconding Everything at Once. Such a good movie and I cried a lot through the second part

this might sound a little funny but if you like coming out scenes to negligent fathers, the dance scene in the it's always sunny in philadelphia episode "mac finds his pride" (season 13, ep 10) is surprisingly tear jerky. fair warning, if you watch the whole episode the first part contains typical gross sunny humor. you can find clips of just the dance scene on youtube.

Movie: Pride (2014). I love this movie, also it makes me cry every time.

Also musical Come from Away makes me cry a lot.

Not such a short thing, but This is Going to Hurt is a good show, also episode 6 is brutal

The Australian PSA Road safety/anti drink drive commercial set to 'Everybody hurts' by REM.
