Spotify users, how do you organize your libraries (besides by album, I mean)?

(Anonymous) 2022-04-23 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
It took me hours, but I've finally compiled my entire music library in Spotify likes.

But now I guess I have to start making playlists; carve some order from the chaos. Where do I even start?? O_o

I have a folder for albums/artists. Folder for comedy. Folder for themed playlists. Folder for soundtracks that is subdivided into movies/shows/games.

I have a bunch of albums saved, and I also have a bunch of playlists that I use for just tossing in any music I like from various genres. Then I'll periodically go make a new playlist with some favorite albums, some music that I'm in the mood for from my genre playlists, and some new stuff I want to check out, and I'll just listen to that for a month or two and then switch to a new one. I also have go-to playlists for specific situations (music for cooking dinner, music for cleaning the house, music for driving, etc).

Also I have a playlist that's just, whenever I hear a song with a really good drum bit, I put it on that playlist.
