I get the YouTube videos thing, but what’s so annoying about fan wikis exactly?

There's nothing intrinsically wrong with them, it just feels like a lot of them are badly organized and badly written. It's hard to find the interesting parts of the lore, and get your orientation and figure out what really matters and is important to the setting, vs what's just included for the sake of completionism.
