I fell in love with a small fandom earlier this year, read everything on AO3, ff.net, LJ, and DW...and now I'm writing my own stuff even though I don't usually like my own writing. But desperate times, etc. So I feel you, OP, and I hope you find a friend you can at least squee with!

Inspired by secret 5, what people or events in history that haven't yet been made into tv or film (or game) do you think would be great to see media adaptions of?

I've been trying to force myself into doing my hobbies in the hopes I'll enjoy them again.

Who are your least favorite fictional characters and why?

Well, I got up at 5 to finish getting ready for my mock trial for this clinic I've been attending. I got back to my hotel around 3:30 and took a nap.

I found out from my mother that there are supposed to be tornadoes on Monday on my route home, so I'm planning to make the entire 9 hour drive tomorrow. So I'm resting the rest of today other than packing.

I would love an english language biopic of Julie d'Aubigny. Professional duelist and opera singer. Born to a noble, she ran away as a teenager to be with her dueling instructor/lover. Turns out she was a better dueler than he was. A girl she seduced was sent to a nunnery, so Julie burnt it down to get her out. She was pardoned by the king of France twice, once because technically the laws against dueling were only about men (she killed at least 10 dudes in duels), and once because she was just SUCH a good singer, the opera begged the king to pardon her so they could hire her.

I saw someone describing the sudden rise and potential fall of Taika as 'Speed running the Lin-Manuel Mirandafication' and thought how accurate that was.

Ooo, yes, a movie about her would be great. She's really fascinating.

fizgig from Dark Crystal - bastard should have stayed dead.

Darcy Lewis. They really made her annoying in Thor 2. And she shows up in EVERY fandom.

Tony Stark. He was focused on too much in the MCU.

Negan on TWD. I hate the way JDM played him. I stopped watching the show because of him.

I mean theoretically I'd be in favor of that, but that hairstyle/facial hair combo would be really hard to pull off without looking like Evil!Weird Al Yankovic. I feel like it would undermine the scary parts.

A depressive mood has gripped me and all I can do is remind myself that I have a choice (that can be made with medications) to be either a) depressed or b) anxious, and anxiety is worse.

...Yeah, I feel this. -_- Even rereading fics about my guys that I've read 100 times in the last 20 years is more happy-making than any other fic/ship.

I can't figure out if the vax side effects wore off early this time, or if it's just that my usual symptoms are so overwhelming that I'm not noticing little things like crushing fatigue or a slight fever or muscle aches.

Also the fic I posted that I thought was going to piss people off apparently didn't (yet), so that's good. :D

Agreed. I like her and I like most of the characters she plays in Doom Patrol, but it’s not a genius acting showcase or anything.

Also, I can’t stand her as Penny Farthing. She really can’t do the accent and it’s all the more jarring since we first met Underground!Penny who does the accent just fine.

As far as I know historical Vlad wasn't crazy. He was sent as a hostage to Ottoman Empire by his father. Later on he fought for throne, against Turks and neighbors. Reading about him, he doesn't seem worse than other rulers at that time.

I liked Tony in his own movies, but I started disliking him when he started being the focus of other people's movies and every single Avengers movie even with the ensemble cast. And then everything was still about him after he died.

Darcy was annoying to me right from the beginning.

Was this your 2nd vax or the booster, and was it the same brand you got before? (Not that it really matters, I'm just nosy.)

I got 2 Pfizers and a Moderna. The 2nd Pfizer had the worst side effects as far as fever/fatigue went. The booster didn't really come with any of those side effects, but did come with the worst arm pain. Like, all the joints in that arm hurt for a week. The first year the flu vax had the swine flu added in did the same thing to my joints. Autoimmune disorders run in my family and I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up pulling the RA straw.

Mostly unrelated to the secret but I've never really thought Taika attractive until he was in OFMD but the beard and hair definitely does it for me...

Had an appointment and other stuff this morning, tried to nap in the afternoon but it didn't work so I did a bunch of cleaning.

Is anyone else having problems with imgur? Both yesterday and today when I tried to upload a secret, a banner just kept saying "Something went wrong with CREATE_ALBUM_FAIL. Please try later"

I totally get you, OP. I'm actually trying to write some fic for my pairing because I really want something new to read, but it's so much easier and a lot more fun to read something someone else has written.

They keep doing this in the OFMD fandom too, acting like Taika is the showrunner/creator/head writer when he's not.

Stop giving other people's credit to the man. He's a great dude, but jfc come on.
