Much like Lin-Manuel, any ensuing Taika drama is likely to be a quick flair up followed by 90% of his fans just ignoring it. I mean, assuming the drama follows the same lines of "woke artist maybe not as woke as we thought" and not "turns out the dude was fucking 15 yo groupies."

It went okay, I guess. Not the way I had hoped but it wasn't too bad. Got some gaming in, just not with other people.

I'm onboard, OP. That was my favorite part of the movie and what made me fall in love with that iteration of Magneto.

Every time this question is asked, my mind immediately goes to Gwen Cooper from Torchwood. She was supposed to be the Everyman introduction into the show, but she very quickly became the Mary Sue - supposedly good at just about everything, and so attractive that everyone was in love with her. Her actual actions were of an arrogant asshole - assuming that she was good at just about everything and that everyone found her attractive. Like, did the writers not notice????

And before anyone tries to claim I just don't like her because of Ianto/Jack - I hated her waaaaay before that became a thing. The disconnect from what she actually did to what the narrative tried to say about her happened pretty much on day two.

Rachel Berry forever and ever. I went to school with a girl just like that and I'd rather cut my own throat out than ever be in the same room as anyone like her ever again. So insanely selfish and not half as talented as she thinks she is.

So far so good! Had a bbq this afternoon and had a great time! Stuffed my face, drank a few beers, smoked some excellent weed!

Washed my cat's blanket and my towels so she'll have clean bedding and clean dry towels when I give her a bath. Also washed my clothes, but priorities, heh. Didn't get around to the bath itself, although I took a shower.

The cat hit me in the eye for pulling her off the stove while I was cooking a couple days ago, so I kind of want to get some goggles before I try and bathe her again--the last time, I didn't even get all her fleas off before she climbed up my legs, clawed her way up my torso, and launched herself off my head. I bought a new basin to (try to) make it easier to submerge her body but let her stand with her head above water, without having to waste tons of water filling the tub.

Went to two nurseries, bought some woodland and alpine strawberries at one of them. Got groceries.

I'm hoping to actually sleep tonight since last night was so noisy (helicopters, a drunk girl having an existential crisis at top volume across the street, sirens) that I didn't actually sleep until 4 am and I've been loopy all day. Going hiking in the mountains tomorrow; I haven't been in years.

It's annoying every time. Your favorite series aren't done by one guy, people

(SA) But the tone in horror movie franchises is different. It's scary, but in a fun way, because none of it was real, and the things that happen in them are so over the top. I think of them in a different way than I would think of a crime drama about a real-life serial killer, for example. They're both scary, but in different ways.

It's difficult to be better than Maslany, I think her role is pretty unique, I can't name any show where actor needs not only to play different characters, but they need to play also different characters playing each other.

Procrastination. Tiredness. Failing on all fronts. Trying to blame it on period. To be fair, I am just being lazy. :(

She isn't bad actress or anything and I like her characters just fine, but some fans behave like they have never seen an actor.

Penny Farthing is just painful.

Also I have periods of time where I return to some of my fandoms that do not have fics nor in English nor in my language. Ouch

It's 10PM where I am, and I just went to take my melatonin for the night, but I took my nootropic anti-tiredness medication by mistake!

I slept poorly two nights ago, and then last night I worked a late shift and only slept 4.5 hours. I was going to crash early and sleep so well tonight! I really needed a good night's sleep! I did not need a fucking nootropic at 10PM!

*crying*

Oh no! I'm sorry that happened. I hope you get some good rest, even if you can't sleep.

OP - Good for you for trying! I've written a couple of ficlets, but I'm not really any good. There's some raw potential somewhere, buried. But I'd have to practice a LOT to actually be any good, and I honestly just hate how writing makes me feel. I'm one of those people who can only see the flaws, to the point that I start to feel like I'm losing my mind and I can't trust my own perception of anything. I get tangled up in the brambles every single time. :/

I content myself with imagining extensive longfic scenarios in my mind, lol. But it's not very satisfying, if I'm honest.

Good for you for making the effort. It's definitely a different kind of satisfaction to write a fic than to read fic, but you're brave to try, and if you ever make it to the end I bet you'll feel pretty good about it. :)

Wellll technically its Sunday now but... i'm staying up late, drinking soda and drawing. Life is fantastic :D

OP - Good for you, anon! That's cool that it helps inspire others to write as well.

I do have one fic I scrapped a couple of years ago because it felt unsalvageable. Maybe I'll try to salvage it after all. It's a meeessssss, but there's probably at least a couple people out there who would enjoy it anyway.

I am having a small trip tomorrow, but life was so bad lately that my anxiety levels are going through the roof. Instead of being excited I am short-tempered, annoyed that I will have to rise really early, nervous that my body will be on it's usual bullshit. I am so tired of myself

Haven't seen this show either but Maslany is so good. I need to finish orphan black.
