How are they making a good case for buying physical dvds? I have no interest in acquiring loads and loads of dvds to stack around in the space I haven't got.
Torrents for me.

My internet blocks torrents. There are a couple download sites I have access to right now, but that could change. One of those sites has had to change their link multiple times.

I don't buy dvds of everything, but I do for favorite things.

Weird. Is it your provider? Or would using a VPN help? I'm happy to say mine does not, though i know that's not universal.

My provider. Tried a VPN. Still had the same thing happen. Where they'd slow our internet and send us a warning that if we kept torrenting our internet would be cut off.

Yeah, I think even if I bought DVDs, I would pretty much rip them onto a hard drive immediately.

That's what I do. I still keep the dvd, but I always rip them onto my computer and then put on a portable harddrive.

My internet doesn't allow for streaming of any kind. Internet options are extremely limited were I am, and services that would be capable of allowing streaming are priced way out of reach, *if* they're even available in my area.

It does. Dish internet in general sucks.

So does having to near constantly remind family/friends that no, we cannot watch such and such, because we can't stream. :/

Well, I tell you what. If you're in the US, and want to get an external harddrive and compile a list of stuff, I'm more than happy to torrent whatever, put it all on the xhd and ship it back to you.
