Books, magazines, VHSs, DVDs, bluerays, whatever, physical media degrades. It wears out, gets lost, get stepped on, breaks, gets left in the back of my car until the sun bleaches the cover and rain splatters the first chapter because I've been meaning to read it on my lunch break but I didn't realize it would rain today.

Nothing is perfect, nothing is permanent, I need to stick to renting things from the library.
