Oh boy, the number of people taking this personally. It's like they can't stomach the idea that a stranger might erroneously assume something about them for reasons of personal safety in a way that doesn't at all affect them. It's like men who get offended at the idea that some women who walk alone at night choose to cross the street when they see a man near them. It's like, sure, you are ~*misunderstood*~ and that sucks (debatably) but that other person is just trynna live.

Nobody is accusing you of anything, that’s not what “accusing” means. You being avoided by a woman walking alone at night isn’t because she genuinely thinks you’re 100% a rapist, and is thus accusing you of such. She’s just not taking the chance if there’s a possibility you might be. There’s a big difference, and it’s nobody’s fault but your own that you refuse to understand that, and take it so personally that you act like it’s all about you and your feelings over her’s.

Especially because you don’t know if the woman avoiding you at night has been assaulted before, or is just being careful even if she hasn’t been. Both are understandable, and she doesn’t need to justify avoiding anyone, especially at night. But trauma based on sexual assault can make this already unsettling situation even worse, and more paranoia inducing. I would know. So it’s ludicrous that you’re making such a big deal about this, when again, it’s not you personally that is being called a rapist just because a woman might avoid all men when walking alone at night.

If you're black and the woman who avoids you alone at night is white, the left will coddle you when you take it personally, and assure you that the woman is just a racist piece of shit. The probability that she avoids all men at night no matter what race they are will not come up.
