I feel this way about Vin Diesel. I like some of his movies. But I don't think he's a great actor, just that some roles are written so he fits them well. Also feel this way about Tom Holland.

I also feel this way about some beloved, classic actors like George Clooney, Christopher Walken, Samuel L. Jackson, Harrison Ford, Robert De Niro, Sean Connery, and Jack Nicholson.

I fail to see what's such a big deal about George Clooney but I think everybody you named after him is awesome as hell, especially Christopher Walken and Samuel L. Jackson.

Really? Have you seen George in Gravity? Or The Midnight Sky?

no but I've seen him in other movies and TV shows and I just don't think he's that great.

I thought he was good in Up in the Air as well as those movies. But I’m really not a fan of him or his acting otherwise.

He’s at least fun in the Oceans trilogy.

I think this kind of gets to, what do we mean by "acting". Someone like Harrison Ford is not a really good actor in a theatrical sense, or a method-acting sense, or a character-playing sense. But I think he *is* an incredibly good performer. He does things on screen, in action-adventure movies and thrillers, that very few performers can do. He provides charisma, a screen presence, he's consistently friendly and likable and charming and warm on screen in a way very few people can be. So in my book that's acting talent, even if he's not really playing a character. It's just a different kind of acting talent.

Robert de Niro, though, I think he's someone who is actually playing characters, not himself. At least in his good roles.
