What kinds of kinks do people not realize are kinks?

I feel like I’m vaguely familiar with some of the other versions mentioned in this secret, but that one has me scratching my head.

I have a theory some people who promote that whole "consent is sexy" thing and can't shut up about how harmful and regressive dub/noncon is, actually have a kink for consent talk and don't realize it.
(I personally find consent alright but I absolutely loathe it when characters are written to ask permission every step of the way.)

That's a sensible life goal, OP. I'm not an expert in this era, but maybe Georgiana's position as an independently wealthy woman would've allowed her a bit more freedom? It's one thing to be a spinster when that means no household and very little income, and also no social protection. But Georgiana's position was less vulnerable, since she has her own money and family support.

I think that an issue with laugh tracks is that while they can be fun when you’re laughing along, they’re grating when you don’t find the jokes funny.

Laugh tracks on my favorite shows? Great, makes me feel just like you said, like I’m having fun with a whole group of people.

Laugh tracks on shows I don’t like? Makes me hate them 50% more, like the show is hammering home that I should be laughing at their unfunny jokes.

Ouch. Not me, OP. I'm glad sitcoms have gotten away from them. They feel too try-hard and are inevitably used over jokes that fall flat.
