Which is cool and all, but I don't actually want to see people doing that, in a sort of glorified, slo-mo, extreme-close-up way. It's evident enough just listening to my daughter tell me about yet another old classmate who has overdosed or committed suicide or who is now in prison.

I am cool with people disliking BrBa and it's not being their thing, but I think there is like one episode of extreme drug-use when the result killed a character. All the other slow-mo close-ups are of blue rock salt. :D

I’m sorry, I don’t know how old your daughter is, or her old classmate. So when you said that, I thought you meant that her old classmate died of an overdose, and that had something to do with the classmate being influenced by Breaking Bad or something? Because Breaking Bad was the subject. And most people who are impressionable enough to do drugs because they saw it on TV are kids/teens who shouldn’t be watching this show, so that’s why I thought that.

Were you actually saying one of the reasons you don’t like the show is because you don’t like how it seems to you that the show is glorifying drugs, and that’s a sensitive subject to you because of people you know of that have suffered and died because of drugs, or something more like that? I could understand that, as someone who’s battled an addiction to opioid painkillers, even though I don’t necessarily agree that the show is actually glorifying or glamorizing drugs or dealers. But if that’s not what you mean either, then I have no idea, but that’s a me problem.

Your second paragraph. My daughter is 25, but it seems about half her class has died because of, or been horrifically impacted by, drugs in their lives (we do live in Missouri....), so shows about drugs are basically just a huge turn-off for me, and I have zero interest in them.

Then I understand, that’s completely fair. I don’t have an issue seeing all drugs depicted, although it’s not something I seek out. But seeing people popping pills is borderline triggering to me.
