I am still masking everywhere except outside around people I trust/not near a big highway. (note: I live in the US. And not in a state run by Democrats, though even they are being a bit crazy about loosening restrictions at the moment)

Things I've "lightened" on:

I am not working out in a gym again. Granted, double-masked (I started running masked outside due to pollution in my city/we didn't really know a lot about the mechanics of spread at first; no it is not unhealthy. You just need to work up to it. Like altitude training)

I am now not completely avoiding the store and ordering pick-up items. I probably should again, though (I might have to start some immunosuppressant medications depending on how bad my doctor thinks my arthritis is when I finally get in to a fucking appointment. Why 7 months. Fuck)

Going to the movies. I can't focus on home movie stuff. I choose very early movies which means there's fewer people and there's also unlikely to be aerosol floating around from previous showings (lasts at least 4 hours), so COVID chances are decreased. I mask, though I sneak in popcorn and drinks under the mask.

The things I've lightened on only happened when I got the vaccine.

+1 on the movies. I tend to go during the times that parents will be less likely to take kids while waiting to pick up their older children (usually around 1pm-2pm) or later around 7pm-8pm, or to theatres that will be more likely to have adults and less kids around. Kids carry germs with them whether they have washed their hands or not. At most there's been 8 others in the same cinema at these times that were either senior citizens or kidless couples.
