Soy, if it's made traditionally shouldn't have MSG in it. It will have glutamates in it from the fermentation process, but that's not quite the same thing. It shouldn't have any MSG added, even if it's a quick fermented high-wheat soy sauce. (Source: I'm a celiac soy-sauce nerd who makes her own soy sauce.)

I never said it has added MSG though? But a lot of naturally occuring glutamates have a very similar effect.

So while you didn’t say MSG was added in, you did say soy sauce has MSG in it. It doesn’t. It shouldn’t. That’s what AYRT is actually saying.

Monosodium glutamate for which MSG is the abbreviation is naturally occurring in many foods and ingedrients. It's a chemical compound.
