Wow, those ARE pretty bad covers. XD;; What they say about "don't judge a book by its cover" and everything is pretty true (although luckily I think most of my favorites have pretty good ones).

Oh man, most of them WERE dreadful and if in public I'd try position the books so other people wouldn't see the cover while I read them, back in the day.

EDIT: Most the covers were dreadful, I mean. I loved the hell out of the books themselves.

I keep asking for Christopher Pike fanfic for yuletide, but the fact that one person offers to write it every year kind of means that I never get any. There really needs to be a fandom for this.

I grew up his books and I still love them. Although the later ones get more and more out there.

YES!1lkjl Pike community! We can do organized rereading or something. And maybe it'll generate fic, meta, or something.

Yeah, the newer stuff is mostly...well, WTF, FBI thrillers?! But I still have much love for most of the older stuff, which I also grew up reading. <3

Yea the covers are TERRIBLE, but they were made a long time ago, I saw some redone ones, they were alright. There's still a girl on it though, but at least it's a photograph!

I'm so glad there's another fan out there for The Starlight Crystal. I haven't thought of that book for years, but man... what a mindscrew. I must reread it again.

And yeah, the covers suck. They're very dated.
