Notes:

Guys. I can't note the fandom if you don't tell me what it is. "Please note the fandom!" tells me nothing.

Well, no, we haven't met a Gundam yet, of course, but it'd be amazing if we did. Even if a lot of the designs are painfully non-aerodynamic and wouldn't be able to get off the ground if they were real. Still, I suppose once they were in space it wouldn't be much of a problem. Although that's the least of the problems with the Gundam franchise physics. Even if you go right to the beginning there's the whole Minovsky physics, which makes reasonable sense until you get to the part where the lattice slowly breaks apart. If each positive particle is exerting an attractive force on each negative particle and vice versa (which they, of course, would, and that's responsible for certain types of chemical compound behaviour, but I digress) then what would cause the lattice to fly apart? The only change that could explain that behaviour would be a fluctuation in charge, but realistically that would cause energy expendature, but now that I mention it I suppose that could convert to directional velocity, but still it sounds unlikely. A much better explanation would be that the particles decay into components and slowly cause 'holes' in the Minovsky lattice, but in that case they wouldn't be fundamental particles as all the literature explains. I appreciate that they tried to explain the Minovsky effect, which is far more than almost any show of the generation did, but it still bothers me sometimes. But you don't watch giant robot shows for real physics, you watch for other reasons. Like dreaming the robots will be real someday. Although look where that got me. But even so I think the whole intent would be to render human soldiers as obsolete as possible; there'll always be a place for humans in warfare, as both its instigators and its fuel, but the fewer soldiers out there risking their lives and bleeding and dying, the better for everyone. Some things can't last forever, and I believe that some day we'll be rid of war as we currently understand it.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, no, I haven't met a Gundam.
