141. You could remove it and say it was an honest mistake... but there's a lot about the situation that I don't know, so I dare not give advice.

I have a hard time figuring out where if at all I fit into the RaceFail discussion... initially I got the impression that it was just a spat between authors about the relationship between their worldbuilding and the actuality of people living in the worlds and the mythos that they borrow from. I used to read SF/F but I got out of it for want of being inspired after a while (my last favorite books where the Lankhmar trilogy and Connie Willis' Bellwether in high school - admittedly that isn't saying much). I've read different posts about it since but I felt like I had more questions than answers as a result, and I don't know where the discussion is supposed to take us all as readers and writers because it seems like the people with the real problems are so stubborn all that can be done is to point them out for what they're doing. That's just my $0.02 though.
tl;dr The conversation is meaningful, I just don't know how.
