I totally agree. I don't need chapters of History of This World, but please don't make the world-building so background and hidden that I can't even get a feel for the place. I don't even really mind a bit of over-share, if it's done in such a way it fits with the story and characters. Don't just monologue at me.

(I adore writing world-building and probably go over the top with it sometimes, but it's just so FUN....)
