Yyyyep. I went back to look at the old anon meme (and found the prompts I'd started to fill before my health declined - and already finished one!) and it was a lot more active during the first series. I am hoping that there's a fandom still out there other than us "old folks" who never fell out of love with it in the first place... that old fans who did will gradually come back once they get the word that there's finally a season 2, and that new fans will hear about it for the first time and join in the fun. But right now it's just me and a handful of similarly devoted friends that I've hung onto from back in the day.

It's funny too - one of my very old friends and I had a blow-up many years ago, and eventually we managed to make up... but during the time we were angrily avoiding each other, we'd both independently gotten into T&B, so I posted about "yeah so this fic that kept me up all night was on hiatus for literally ten years" and she goes "...So I'm not the only one finishing 10-years-old fic when I should be sleeping..." Haaaaahahahahahha. Even while we weren't speaking to each other we were a little too well aligned. =) (In fact, we laughed later because while we were still mad, we kept seeing each other's names on fic rec lists right next to each other; "OMG I CAN'T ESCAPE YOU EVEN WHEN I'M COMPLETELY AVOIDING YOU".)

Exactly, that meme was so good! Great memories. The whole experience of "fandom" doesn't feel like a thing anymore with anime, or maybe I am watching the "wrong" (ie. unpopular) series since I don't care for Jujutsu Kaisen or whatever else kids enjoy nowadays.

(On the fic thing... that's not just the both of you for sure lol. Ahem!)
