... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

I much prefer You Rang M'Lord to Downton Abbey, it might be a sitcom but it is way more honest about the vicissitudes of the British class system. Plus Downton is written by an actual Tory peer of the realm as unabashed propaganda for the class system and Empire.

Grand Admiral Thrawn is my favourite fictional baddie for one reason, and one reason only, he went to art school. The man almost defeats the Rebels/New Republic through the power of having an art degree.

Big shout out to all the new Ghost in the Shell fans who came into fandom because of the new Netflix cartoon, or the ScarJo movie! I hate what they did in those, but I am so stoked for you new guys who get to experience the same thrill of coming into something new that you love that I did when I first encountered the original manga and anime. That flash of something new and exciting, even if a few wets like me moan, is something that never leaves you. Mad ups to you all.

I hated the old Thunderbirds tv show from the sixties, all those puppets looked so hokey and creepy. And the background music was just horrible. I love the reboot cartoon of it though, Thunderbirds Are Go, even though the animation is supposed to be based on the puppets; it just looks great. The redesign ships are so much nicer too (except Thunderbird 2, that one I loved the sixties design on).

Part of the reason Young Sheldon works for me is because it is a tragedy disguised as a comedy. We know that George and Mary's marriage is gonna fall apart, that he is gonna cheat on her, and that he will have a fatal heart attack. We know that Mary's religion is gonna get increasingly in the way of her relationship with her kids, and we know that Sheldon is going to go from a precocious bright eyed kid to being an uptight, prejudiced, jackass who lives almost in solitude for years until TBBT starts. We're laughing at people's lives falling apart in absurd ways.

Can't remember if I've done this before, but the ending of Season Two of The Girl From Tomorrow (Tomorrow's End) just completely wrecks me. Alana and Jenny saying goodbye to each other across the vastness of time. I completely ship those two.

I am SO TIRED of The Gay Pirate Show. I torrented and it's on my list of things to watch but it's absolutely TAKEN OVER our pan-fandom discord and no one seems interested in our old loves anymore because everything has to be this one damn thing. I love the cast and I want to like it but the oversaturation has made me so over it all.

I can sort of understand why some movie directors choose to light their movies in a way that can only really be enjoyed in darkened cinema theater lighting instead of ordinary living rooms, it is snobbish and a poor choice for mass market blockbusters but I understand it, however I will never understand directors who do it to tv shows. I'm looking at you NuTrek and Moon Knight. I shouldn't need to have to have the curtains pulled closed on my living room in order to see what your show is doing. Learn how to light stuff to be seen in daylight again

I love the whole look and asthetic of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. The story might be a bit thin, but the movie is gorgeously visual. Okay, Jude Law is kinda hot in this too. I wish he'd been the blonde-Bond just based on this movie. SB, does anyone even remember this movie?

I think the character I dislike the most in Cobra Kai is Dmitri. He's such a whiny little shit stirrer. He deliberately provokes people with insults and pissy little putdowns, and he keeps going and going and going long past the point he's been given both implicit and explicit requests to stop, and then when they push back at him he puts on the kicked puppydog act and goes "why me". And just in general he acts like a snobby little superior nerd. And the worst part is the writers seem blind to this side of him, or see it as harmless.

The web-video series "It's a Southern Thing" is legitimately the funniest sketch show out there right now. Someone get these guys their own tv show or sitcom, please.

My favourite characters from Star Wars are the B1 Battle droids. I just love their little "roger roger" thing, and I feel so bad for laughing at how they always die in the most comical ways. But they are so funny when that happens. What sort of monster am I?

I really want to learn flamenco "Spanish" guitar, but there is nobody even slightly close to here that teaches that style. I tried learning from youtube videos, but I'm just not that sort of learner. I need physical instruction. I guess it is something I'll just never get to do. Fandom is...music? Generally? Spanish flamenco music.

Twister is a fun trashy movie, but I will forever be sad that Jami Gertz's character didn't end up joining Bill Paxton's and Helen Hunt's as a OT3. All three have great chemistry together and I wish they'd all ended up together. Fuck it, I ship it.

Very old wank at this point, but:
Super glad Steve Rogers got the ending he did in Endgame, just as Tony learned how to make the big sacrifice so did Steve learn that it is alright to put down your burdens and trust that others have got this. He learned he was allowed a life beyond service. I don't get the anger at him for doing so.

Lets talk about the She-Ra and the Princesses of Power reboot.
I'm lukewarm on the show, it is okay and I've nothing against it-it just isn't for me (and that is A-okay), but I f-cking love the theme tune. I'd watch the show just for that alone, even if the rest of it leaves me cold.

Can Hollywood take a break from the Evil Superman trope sometime soon, please? We've had Homelander, Brightburn, Omni-Man, several actual evil iterations of Superman from DC, and so many more. There are more edgy subversions of the Superman archetype than there are straight ones. At this point a straight heroic Superman type would be the subversion.

Kouryuu no Mimi: Mina no Shou (OVA) was terrible but maaaan, as someone who used to live in Las Vegas it is always such a damn joy to see that city rendered in glorious early 90's anime aesthetics. Also the themesong is a serious banger. Oh, and the lead character looks good naked and so do all his girlfriends. Actually, you know what? Fuck it. Kouryuu no Mimi: Mina no Shou was awesome. 10/10.

Vampires of Geona (1991) only ever seems to show up as meme material online but I genuinely loved it. Sure it's awkward at times but it's still a great piece of animation and I'd love a full length feature film version.

Wise Child by Monica Furlong was a formative book in my childhood, and I still reread it (and its prequel and sequel) to this day and feel so much love and comfort. The character Juniper is everything I want to be, even now that I'm grown up. But none of my friends have read it, or anyone else I know, and it's out of print and not available as an e-book. I'm tempted to buy up as many hard copies as I can find just so that someday I can find someone to share it with who will understand.
