This. I'm still bitter about a much-touted Asian fantasy that turned out to pretty much just use Asian words for things, and that's it (and I do mean Asian--it took terms from alllll over Asia, I guess in an attempt to portray the breadth and "richness" of the world, but without the faintest context to give any of the words meaning).
