Can someone ELI5 how to submit a secret?

I've been an occasional commenter on FandomSecrets for *years* but never actually made one - I've always been too scared of screwing it up.

There's a link in every post to the current weeks submission post, so what you need to do is 1) make your secret image 2) upload the secret image to a hosting site like imgur 3) copy-paste the direct image link as a comment on the current submission post

-make your secret in Word or MSPaint or Adobe or whatever
-make sure your image is not larger than 750 x 750 pixels
-go to https://imgur.com/
-you don't need an account
-click on New Post, and then upload your image
-once the image is uploaded, right click on it, then click on 'open image in new tab'
-this will give you the direct image address. it should end in .jpg or .gif or whatever your image is
-copy that link and paste it into a new comment on the secret submissions post

adding onto this, when you post a comment in the secret submissions post you'll get notified that it was screened & won't see your comment in the post. that's normal you haven't done anything wrong, basically the way it works is that it's set to screening so case can see the comments without them being published to anyone else.

This is what I do:

1. Use Google Image Search to find an appropriate image:

https://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en&ogbl

Then, to make sure the image is large enough, click "Tools" and adjust the "Size" for medium or large. Find the image you want and download.

2. Upload image to an online editor. There are many, but here are two to start with:

http://www.picfont.com

3. Crop and/or resize the image as needed, making sure it's smaller than 750 x 750.
4. Choose text and play around with your secret. Using high contrast colors and/or choosing to outline your text helps with legibility.
5. Download the finished secret.
6. Upload secret to http://www.imgur.com - There is no need to sign up on this site, I emphasize that because some people don't know this and don't want to use it because they believe they need to register first. You don't.
7. Cut and paste the provided URL after you upload - make sure it ends in .jpg or .png.
8. Submit it to the weekly secret submission link that's in every FS post, labeled "Current Secret Submissions Post: here". Be sure to include the fandom/characters if it's not obvious.

Could we maybe ask case to add these instructions to the submissions post? It is a really clear write up, especially the bit about how to modify an image. I know that is the part I needed to see.
