Even if she's not manipulative you can be jealous, especially if she's attractive. I think you have to put an effort into changing things. Firstly get outside and forget covid. Go do something with your guy. Secondly get new friends. Perhaps tabletop games or DnD or dog clubs? What I think will work is finding new people and hobbies for you two to get that female friend into background. Break their flow.
Ask a trusted friend to ask her if she's single, looking and likes your bf, maybe record it.

Not OP here but "get outside and forget COVID" is not an option for everybody and OP did mention they were very ill with it, so I am going to assume it is not an option for them. But doing new creative things inside is an option even when going outside isn't.
