Yeah, I respect the hell out of Woolf, but I didn't care for it either. Ultimately I just don't much care for stream of consciousness writing in general, and the more committed to the nitty gritty of the SOC style the author is, the more torturous I'm likely to find it. I hated Ulysses, too. (Yes, I actually read it. Yes, the whole thing. No, I don't remember a single fucking thing about it beyond the last line and the protagonist being torn up about his wife's affair, and that it becomes a fucking stage play for a while in the middle. Yes, it was a waste of time. No, I don't feel smarter for having read it; I feel, if anything, a bit stupider because I barely understood it while I was reading it, lol.)
