Yeah, when I read M/M it's because I want to read about guys, not women. I couldn't care less if there are any female characters in my M/M romance and it kind of surprises me that other people do because it seems to me that they're looking in the wrong place for that? Like I wouldn't be looking for deep, well-written male characters in F/F stuff.

Good for you.

No it's not a wrong place to expect different well-rounded characters in a genre focused on one group. A lot of people prefer when romantic subplot isn't shitty in an action movie. And people can prefer side characters not being shitty in a romantic writting
