I'm not scared of the time suck since I'm not planning on using it for more than what I already use my dumb phone for. I already have an employer-provided smart phone for work and I really appreciate how a lot of the more simple stuff is just easier, e.g., it takes fewer clicks/buttons to turn airplane mode on or off or to set or modify an alarm or use the calculator. I also really like having a calender app.

Meanwhile, I have a tablet for general internet stuff and the only apps I've put on there are freecell and a podcast app. I don't do Facebook, Twitter, or instagram.

I should also mention this is a 3G-going-away issue or something? Like, my phone literally won't work later this year?
