Wow, good list! heh. I'm going to check out the 'Land so Wild' - that sounds good.
I have such a huge freakin' list of books I want at Better World Books and actually on Amazon (just a list - I buy elsewhere), and then a huge folder of bookmarks of books.... I'd need to win the lottery to get them all.

OH, I forgot - also read 'The Filly', which was a cowboy m/m book that I *thought* was older, but turns out it was written in like 2007, and unfortunately had some too-modern 'you were born that way' kinda stuff going on, which I didn't appreciate.

It's so good...I really didn't expect to love it as much as I did.

And yeah, I definitely get that! I have a couple thousand on my GoodReads Want to Read list. There are so many books and not enough time to read them all!

Sorry for not understanding (am sleep deprived and feel like my brain isn't working the best!) but what do you mean by "unfortunately had some too-modern 'you were born that way' kinda stuff going on, which I didn't appreciate"?

It purported to be a story set in 18-whatever, the 'Old West', but one character in particular was espousing some really modern ideas/thoughts about being gay. Maybe if the author'd written it another way or something, it would have been okay, but as it was, it was just intrusively modern.
