If Horrorstor scares you, definitely do not ever read The Song of Kali by Dan Simmons. (This is random, I know, but I'm in the process of moving and was just packing up a box of books and came across that one and was re-traumatized by it. I love super dark, twisted stuff but that book is so bleak and awful and depressing. And for the record, I will be getting rid of it in the move, lol.)
