I mean, in general, the older person has more power over the younger, but generalizations can never be held above actual evidence.

Up to a certain point that's true but then the dynamics start to reverse in middle age, especially in the entertainment business where appearance is everything and youthful looks are valued over older ones. This comes down a lot harder on older women of course, but older men are not immune from it.

Aside from that, there are definitely, frequently situations where the boss is younger than the employee, the landlord is younger than the tenant. etc. There are so many factors that override age as a power factor that I don't consider it a major one in most situations once both parties are past their early 20s or so.
