I mean it seem like they were inspired by your story and wanted to try their hand at it themself, which if you want to take it that was is sorta sweet. Depending on the plot it's not it's not impossible they weren't already writing and you simply posted first maybe? lol

Either way it's actually nice of you not get all huffy about it since I've seen it before where someone absolutely loses their shit over people posting a story somewhat similar to their own.

It was about a bunch of yu gi oh characters playing a specific drinking game...unlikely that they would already have been working on that I think lol. I might have been mad if it was a good fic purely out of teenage ego but it was just so darn ineptly written, I couldn't do anything but laugh

Why any fic writer would get angry at someone for using their ideas? If it's not copy-past, it's a good thing. I'm confused at this secret.

I’m confused by how confused you are by something pretty simple. There’s such a thing as copying/plagiarism even if it’s not copy-pasted word for word. There’s nothing you can really do about it compared to actual books, and it’s harder to prove unless it’s a completely unique idea, of which there doesn’t seem to be an abundance of these days now that most ideas have been done in some ways already. And of course, some people can go to far the other way and constantly accuse people of “stealing” their ideas or dialogue. When the similarities are either too minute to prove it wasn’t an accident, and thus not worth getting upset over, or there’s straight up no similarities.
