Hmmm. But he was always going to be strong in the Force. Without learning to control his abilities he could have gone dark on his own.

Honestly, I think the Jedi Order the way it was by the prequel era was just destined to fall. It was too cracked on the inside. Anakin was the one who did it in the end, but it would have been someone else if not him.

Probably Mace Windu, since he was just a little too eager to do a coup and some extrajudicial killing. The only reason Mace wouldn't have become Palpy's next apprentice was that Mace's arrogance level was through the roof and he wouldn't have been content to be a Sith apprentice.

I could totally see this. Mace was a good example of all that was wrong with the Jedi in that era. And honestly, he's really popular, but I'm not a huge fan.
