Indeed, but then the creative and interesting comics immediately get strangled by having to be in 5000 crossover events and then ~mysteriously~ plummet in sales.

The difference is the comics can keep on going indefinitely, recycling the same characters and character beats, with movies the actors actually physically age and do want to move on, so the MCU has to innovate in ways the comics do not.
