I'm with you there, OP. Unless it's kinda in my kink-zone, I generally just skim past the smut and really prefer the 'ride or die' 'til the end of the line' romantic true love soulmatey stuff over the down and dirty.

I'm talking fic here, to be clear. In live media, i'm on the fence. Most if not all m/f sex scenes are offputting or downright uncomfortable for me. M/M and F/F scenes are getting that way, too, but probably only because most sex in live media is just awkward and unnecessary (to me).
