I don't remove watermarks but I have edited porn to 'fill back in' any censored areas for my own personal amusement. Lol. The other day I found a great piece of smut that had censored a tongue licking a nipple and... yeah, I went into Photoshop and painted over the blurry pixels. 'Re-editing', if you will, that is to say I edited out the censorship.

I don't personally watermark my art, but if I did I wouldn't mind this at all (so long as it's just for personal use). It'd be more true to what I would've wanted the pic to look like anyway.

The only issue is when people do things like repost it as if its their own work, especially after removing the water mark and make it next to impossible to find the artist who did make it.

If you're just using it for your own use then that's just harmless.

I think it's totally OK. Artists rarely do watermarks for their enjoyment.
As long as you do no upload it.

I do sometimes edits with art for my own wallpaper usage

I'm sticking with any fan (of any level, even lukewarm) writing in an established universe with established characters counts as fanfiction even if the license owner, original author, or original author's estate gives them the go-ahead.
