Unless I'm missing something here, these two sets of characters have very different age brackets. Like, something between 15-18 and, idk, 7-10. (Btw, the word you're looking for is shota.)

For some weird reason that I have yet to look up, shota and male loli are considered a different concept. The first time I found that out was Ouran High School Host Club. And I’m still confused, but way too afraid to find out.

I...kinda relate to this? Not the shota/loli thing, but the underage male character vs. underage female character thing. Ships involving sexualized male characters who are marginally underage (sixteen or seventeen) can sometimes be hot to me (even when they actually look pretty young, and not like the twenty-six-year-old men the CW casts to play teenagers). Whereas my knee-jerk response to sexualized underage female characters tends to be squick (though again, if we're talking about the 22-yo's playing 16-yo girls in teen tv shows, then I really don't think there's anything controversial about finding them hot).

Is a 'male loli' like a femboy variant of a shota? That was my impression looking at the character design in the secret.
