The whole arc of the first six movies is the destruction of the Sith through Anakin's redemption. Anakin redeeming himself by killing Palpatine at the expense of his life because his son became a Jedi by throwing down his weapon and refusing to give in to the dark side is the triumph of the OT. Bringing Palpatine back weakens that. I hated the comic that brought him back, and TROS doing that by bringing actual Palpatine back without even stating that it was a clone did that even more so.
