that was one of my favourite movies when I was a kid back in the 80s (I'm Australian). I wanted a BMX bike SO BAD. Like for real. It was second on my birthday and christmas wish lists for a long time (commodore 64 was #1) But I never got one. Never got the commodore 64 either lol

I'm curious. How does TROS take away from the redemption arc in TROJ?

I never even got to TROS - waiting all those years for just a rehash of the first trilogy was such a disappointment. I never thought hard enough about it realise that ROTJ does become a false ending because there is no balance.

I also realise now that I missed my chance in TFA to mutter 'I have a bad feeling about this' as the secret plans got hidden in the droid in the first five minutes.

I don't entirely disagree with you, but I think that's actually one of the least of the sequels' problems. Because honestly, if you look at the ending of RotJ purely in terms of Anakin's redemption, it falls kind of flat anyway. After everything that Anakin did, his redemption being "Fails to stand by while his boss murders his kid. Gets himself killed in the process," is a bit of a cop out. Thing is, Anakin's death and redemption wasn't written to be the satisfying conclusion to Anakin's dramatic arc. It was written to be the satisfying conclusion to Luke's. For three movies, the universe tried to beat the idealist out of Luke, but in the end he was right to give Anakin the chance to be better and to believe that as long as there is some good left in a person they aren't beyond hope. Of course, the sequels fucked that up too, but that's a different rant.

Hi fellow Coffeehouse Crime fan! Adrian has become my favourite true crime presenter, for the reasons you have said. He always has a refreshing take and is well researched. (Also has a soothing voice). That Chapter is also good but I find he spends a lot of time showing videos of interrogations and it gets a bit boring for me after a while.
Agreed also with Elisa Lam. I work in mental health and become very irritated when people try and make it into anything other than what it was; a woman suffering from bipolar had a psychotic break and accidentally drowned herself. (As I side note, I love spooky creepy ghost stories but this isn't one).

I wouldn't really call it fake. Do the videos have very high production value and romanticise life in rural China? Probably. Does she get support from official propaganda channels for what she does? It's not unlikely. But I don't think she is an actress and I largely believe her backstory. A lot of the skills she displays look too much like being born from years of practised routine. That's not something an actress with no background in rural living could fake.

She is likely very wealthy by now (even without any ... sponsoring money, she is a hugely successful influencer) and can afford to pay for a professional team but she still does the work in front of the camera herself. She also afaik never claimed to give a realistic look into farming life of the common rural person so...

As an Aussie, I remember this movie, it was fun and made at a time when some great Aussie movies were being made, sadly so many for them have disappeared.
