AYRT - Yes, exactly! Nothing against kids (I do follow a few bc they're good artists lol) but I would rather not have they following me, not merely because I don't know if that would be psychologically healthy to begin with, but also I don't want to feel responsible for them during my free time (back when I didn't have any warnings, it was... exhausting) much less add to the frustration of parents who don't know what their kids are doing online. I think it's better for everyone if teens stay on the "teen" side of fandom, and if they choose not to, they should be fully aware of the risks (such as grooming etc - I was lucky too, but I had friends who were harassed for cosplaying and stuff like that). But yeah, I feel you. Sometimes it's a bit too much. I guess it's the "better to be safe than sorry" mentality at work.
