It's not that kids are reading smut, it's that they come in and start saying things like "I'm 10, and this is hot!" Like, dude, I know kids read smut, but I don't need to see written proof. It just makes things awkward.

YEAH!

Like... yeah, young people are going to read smut, same as I did when I was a teen. But I don't want to find out mid-convo that someone who read my smut is fifteen! That's so horrifying to me. Like... just have the grace to be sneaky about it so I never know!

I once read a smut fic all the way through that wasn't actually that good, but it was a rarepair I loved, so I read anything I could get. And the author's note at the end was like "I'm 13 and this is my first time writing porn, hope it's not terrible uwu!!" No, at least say that before your fic so I know not to read it! But actually don't put it there at all.

... Completely unrelated but I admire this kid's bravery. As an asexual adult woman I still don't try my hand at writing porn because I suck at it, and this kid not only did it but even shared their age lol.
