The older I grow, the less I believe there is still a place for me in fandom.
More often than not I enjoy "childish" media, so I have been avoiding fandom as a whole because I don't want to be "fandom friends" with teenagers.
It feels terribly lonely since I can't befriend people unless we have shared passions, and most of my passions are fandom-related.
