I wish game developers these days would cut back on mindless quests, "achievements," and really the loot box thing (fat chance, right?). I don't mind a few but it's out of control, and these things are not substitutes for good gameplay and a good storyline. (Obviously I'm not including quests that are essential to a story or meet a specific requirement like completing your home base.)

YES, THIS. Agreed 100%

and this is why I lately if I want to play an open world game I play stuff that's almost 10 years old. It was pretty bad even then sometimes, but now it's just unbearable.
If someone cares about achievement and whatever they're screwed with the new games. Most of the times to obtain a trophy you have to waste A LOT of time.
