You can skip Andromeda. As of right now, cause who knows if it will be referenced in ME4, it's irrelevant.

As someone who loved Andromeda, I couldn't fathom skipping it.

as another person who love Andromeda and connected with the Ryders way more than I ever did with Shep, I also could not fathom skipping ME:A.

As someone who loved the original trilogy, Andromeda is not that bad, really.

I would go so far as to say I even enjoyed it the first time I played it.

But why couldn't you just romance a male turian? I liked Vetra alright but I just wanted Garrus 2.0. Or Evfra, but we got Jaal instead. Oh, well.

I'd say go for it, if just for the actual gameplay if nothing else. But the mechanics are actually really fun and I feel like it's the best in the series from a shooter perspective. Fast, responsive, and fluid. (Even if I am one of those stereotypical Vanguard players)

And you never know, the game itself might end up growing on you too if you give it a chance. I don't think it's as bad as people say it is tbh.

Is there any other class than vanguard or sniper? I mean vanguard makes insanity so easy I had to check several times whether I didn't turn down the difficulty without meaning too.

Sniping can be fun too but you need to be patient and able to aim fast, which I'm not that great at.

i'm playing ME Andromeda for the first time right now and yeah, it's safe to skip. the characters start out as hella flat and you have to dedicate hours upon hours for them to be fleshed out, which i personally find irritating since the OG trilogy did so well with characters and personal motivations right out from the gate, so it's a weird aspect to take a step backward on.

it's pretty and the combat is fun, tho, so i guess if you get around to it eventually it has that going for it.

andromeda isn't as bad as people are making it out to be, but because of the failed scope it feels pretty hollow. the original games have very tight storytelling, andromeda struggles to fill all the planets it offers. that said the characters are cute and i loved my romance with reyes. it's at least worth a pirate imo
